You know you're getting old when you see your second shotgun based on teh AR-series of rifles. Can't remember the designation but one was made in the late Vietnam period as an anti-ambush weapon, only it was select fire and used a box and a drum magazine. War ended and the idea floundered though it was bought out by another developer who had a batch in select fire and semi auto made in Korea. 1994 Clinton 'assault weapon' initiative hammered the last nail into its coffin. Military brass has always been a bit turned off by shotguns execpt as REM arms, close combat weapons and duck hunting in teh Tidelands but this one, in semi especially, should win converts in the police world. I'd get a production copy to NCJRS for testing as fast as I could to increase both exposure and confidence in the police bureaucrat circles.

As long as it is built better than the ATI AR shotgun I will take one right now! I only hope they offer it with a rifled barrel for deer hunting!
