notice that the door gunner's right hand is curled round the charging handle - it looks like his SOP isn't to have a round in the chamber - looks a bit wierd to me - if he's got a round in why isn't his hand on the trigger/safety ?

Great pic, but those guys (particularly the one with the carbine) don't look too happy about having their picture taken. Not that the photographer wasn't well within his right to do so (if it was on a public street with no expectation of privacy, he definitely was), but the guy has guts doing it. It could easily have been misinterpreted as an attempt to gain intelligence and assassinate the President and anything coming from that carbine is bound to cut through a car like a knife through hot butter
